A safety system will only allow the process to start when the degausser has enough energy to run through the erasure cycle completely, ensuring complete data destruction every time! It's quiet and dependable. With no moving parts and no operating system, the HD-2 Hard Drive Degausser just works! A convenient drawer makes loading up hard drives and tapes simple. It handles hard drives up to 1.5"" high and high coercivity tape media, including all formats of LTO, SuperDLT I & II, DLT, AIT and 8mm. Meets ANSI and CE standards. The PD-5 HD Destroyer with optional SSD-1 SS Destroyer add-on offers a well rounded hard drive disposal solution when complete physical destruction is desired. Solid state drives, hard drives and other media may be dropped inside the workstation for secure storage. A yellow bin located inside holds incoming drives until processing. Once run through the degausser, the media is automatically deposited into another bin to await physical destruction by the PD-5 HD Destroyer. Once physically destroyed, what remains of the drives is automatically deposited into a recycle bin to await recycling.
